lgbtq+ resources

Below are the hotlines, websites, organizations, books, and other media we recommend to our clients and their friends and families. We have worked with, utilized, and/or read each of these resources and encourage others to give them a try.

For safety reasons, we do not publicize a list of LGBTQ+ affirming providers, including other therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, clinics, voice coaches, or surgeons. These resources absolutely do exist in Texas; please contact us directly for information or referrals for LGBTQ+ services.

LGBTQ+ crisis hotlines

Calling 911 is also an option. However, most police officers are not adequately trained to deal with mental health crises, and historically, police involvement carries an increased risk of violence and death--especially for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. Please reach out to whichever organizations feel safest to you.
